Wild Honey has finally arrived, featuring a batch of tunes the band wrote in 2017 and 2018 and finalized through key recording sessions in late summer 2018. Further recording and overdubs continued in 2018 and 2019 until the band broke up in spring 2019 and work on the album was paused.
Much of the musical and lyrical content is a continuation of ideas found on 2018's VERGE, chronicling youthful introspection and misadventures.
The band thanks Nico Sleator for being the primary force behind finishing this album and in turn initiating our return. The band also thanks Leon Sleator for his heroic mixing efforts in 2020 and 2021. Due to the piecemeal way the album was recorded, it took Leon’s care and dedication to reassemble these songs into finished products, and we consider him as much a member of the band as anyone else who appears on the album.
We look forward to what the future holds and are excited to bring you new music as we approach a decade of Pachyderm.
